We’re proud to be beginning a new study this month with our friends at AECOM, with whom we’ve collaborated on museum research and analysis projects in the past.
We look forward to working with AECOM senior vice president for economics John Robinett and his colleagues to analyze the needs and perceptions of museum visitors on behalf of a major cultural institution.
Robinett led a 2007 engagement with the Whitney Museum of American Art in which Slover Linett surveyed audiences about the museum’s planned satellite location near the High Line. (Robinett was then at Economics Research Associates, which is now part of the global planning and project management firm AECOM.)
Our work on the new project will likewise involve a quantitative survey of museum visitors and other cultural consumers in several urban settings. Both local residents and tourists will be included in the study, which will be conducted in the coming weeks.
“We’re grateful to John and his team for bringing us in on some fascinating projects,” says partner Peter Linett. “They’re experts at analyzing cultural organizations in the broadest economic context. Sometimes they want to add the audience’s perspective to the equation, and that’s where we come in.”
Slover Linett also worked with AECOM’s predecessor firm on a 2007 project for the National Public Housing Museum here in Chicago.
